Creating creatures and characters has to be one of the most fun things to do - it's an illustrators dream!.

When we think of characters, we all have our own perception of what makes something creepy, magical, or just memorable. It doesn't always have to be that different. However, I like working with a slightly more fantastical vibe, and I often find that my love of nature naturally enhances my creature design. To make something believable, you have to start with a realistic structure — if it's going to work in any genre. Below is a selection of illustrations depicting everything from the magical to the unnerving to just the plain cute.
